Town of Mount Royal: Gates to Increase Safety Along Acadie Boulevard

MOUNT ROYAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 5, 2006) - Effective November 6, 2006, the fence along Acadie Boulevard between Cote-de- Liesse Road and Jean-Talon Street will be modified slightly to increase safety. Specifically, chain-link gates will protect pedestrians as they step out onto the boulevard. By preventing rushing and inattentiveness at the six access points along Acadie Boulevard, the risk of collision for pedestrians, in particular children, will be further reduced.
