TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - July 21, 2006) - BAM Investments Corp.(formerly BNN Investments Ltd.)(TSX:BNB)announced that it has closed the previously announced purchase of 10.9 million Class A Limited Voting Shares of Brookfield Asset Management Inc. ("Brookfield ")from Partners Limited ("Partners ")in exchange for the issuance to Partners of 2,507,973 common shares of BAM Investments and a $72 million promissory note.

Following the transaction, BAM Investments 'ownership interest in Brookfield is 37.0 million Class A Shares, representing a 9.6%equity interest in Brookfield. The ...
