LONGUEUIL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Sept. 26, 2005) - Pratt &
Whitney Canada's (P&WC) world-renown PT6 turboprop family is
continuing to win new applications, with the selection of the PT6A-
21 engine by Evektor-Aerotechnik of the Czech Republic to power its
new generation twin turboprop utility aircraft, the EV-55.
The EV-55 will have a payload of 9-14 passengers or 1,824 kg
(4,021 lbs) of cargo and will be powered by two 550-shp PT6A-21
