OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - April 7, 2005) - A productive,
consensus-building process is the hallmark of Canada's fisheries
management system. It is based on extensive consultations among all
stakeholders - including federal, provincial and territorial
governments, industry, First Nations and fishing groups.
However, the recent lawsuit by the Prince Edward Island government
against the Government of Canada makes it very difficult to have
