Q: What is being done to help gifted students reach their
potential?
A: Unfortunately, the short answer to that question is: not nearly
enough. The focus now is getting every student on level. But nothing
is said about how to get those students to reach their highest
potential.
The No Child Left Behind (NCLB) law has left little time for
instruction of gifted students in public schools. They might be
sitting in the classroom with instruction that is entirely too easy
