Editor, the Tribune: The construction of a hog farm near Arrow
Rock would be a bad business decision for all involved, including the
farmer. The hog farm would be sufficiently close to significant
cultural, historical and recreational interests that it has the
potential to be a major nuisance. If bad smells from the farm should
drift toward Arrow Rock, visitors will be discouraged from visiting
the area, using the state park or attending the Lyceum Theatre. That
