Hellen Louise Silvey, 78, of Columbia died at her home unexpectedly Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8 at Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from noon until time of services.

She was born Hellen Louise Wehmeyer on April 29,1928, in Rocheport to Ida Fredricka Seickmann and Charles Wilhelm Wehmeyer.

She attended Rocheport and New Franklin schools and then married Wayne Wayland Silvey in 1948. They were happily married for more than 55 years until Wayne's death this past February.
