DAY TRIPS Arrow Rock is a delight

The main tourist draw for this sleepy town on a bluff just above the valley where the Missouri River once flowed has for years been the Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre.

I have enjoyed visiting over the years this village of fewer than 100 inhabitants to view the fine professional performances at the theater, a former church, which was converted into one of the finest production venues anywhere. That said, it is the locals and the character of the town that has captivated my imagination again and again.
