Egge Record the Issue in Mt. Vernon Rematch

Republican T. Farrell Egge and Democrat Gerald W. Hyland agree on at least one thing: Egge's record is the major issue in the race for the Mount Vernon District seat on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.

Since Egge defeated Hyland in the 1984 special election, capturing 886 more votes than Hyland out of 24,000 cast, he has handled-and many Republicans and Democrats say mishandled-several difficult problems.
