Johannesburg ready to host earth summit

JOHANNESBURG, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- Johannesburg announced Wednesday
that it is ready to host the continent's biggest-ever the World
Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD), from Aug. 26 to Sep. 4.
Moss Mashishi, Chief Executive Officer of the Johannesburg World
Summit Company (Jowsco), said at a press conference held in Pretoria
that the city has made all logistics, telecommunications, financial
and infrastructure preparation for the world summit.
