HONOLULU, Nov. 2 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The Pew Charitable Trusts announced today it is ending its efforts to negotiate a compensation package for fishermen in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands to retire their fishing permits. Despite initial interest, few of the fishermen ultimately expressed a desire to negotiate.
