WASHINGTON, Oct. 6 /U.S. Newswire/ -- October is Breast Cancer
Awareness Month and the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology
and Oncology (ASTRO) offers a free brochure explaining common
treatments for the disease to include a combination of breast-
conserving surgery and radiation therapy.
In the past, the only treatment for breast cancer was the removal
of the entire breast (mastectomy). Today, the treatments for most
