Volunteers from Coast to Coast to Lend a Hand to America's Lands; Thousands Expected for National Public Lands Day

WASHINGTON, Sept. 13 /U.S. Newswire/ -- From Plymouth Rock to the Golden Gate, Valley Forge to Geronimo's birthplace, Americans by the thousands will come out this Saturday in a one-of-a-kind, day-long effort to preserve and improve the lands they love.

In what has become the largest volunteer hands-on effort of its kind in the country, National Public Lands Day will draw volunteers to as many as 600 sites coast to coast in a unique display of commitment and affection.
