DeLay: Validating Arafat Undermines Peace Arafat Poisons Road Map

WASHINGTON, May 21 /U.S. Newswire/ -- House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Texas) spoke Wednesday to a pro-Israel group and called on certain nations and international organizations to stop propping-up and communicating with Yassir Arafat as if he were a legitimate political leader.

"As long as Yassir Arafat plays a role in the Palestinian Authority, and groups beholden to him retain power, the violence will not stop," DeLay said. "Arafat poisons the Road Map. Until he and his henchmen are isolated as terrorists and removed from the picture, peace will remain impossible."
