NAR Brief: Banks Threaten Real Estate Economy

WASHINGTON, Oct. 30 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The National Association of
Realtors(r) released a policy impact brief today outlining the risks
inherent to consumers and the real estate marketplace if large
banking conglomerates are allowed to enter real estate brokerage and
property management.
The brief, jointly written by NAR's Research and Regulatory and
Industry Relations Divisions, urges the Treasury Department and the
Federal Reserve Board to conduct additional independent research to
fulfill their due diligence responsibilities before approving a
regulation that could change the way houses ...
