Labor Department to Fund Education Project in Peru; Initiative Designed to Combat Abusive Child Labor

WASHINGTON, Sept. 24 /U.S. Newswire/ -- A $1.5 million grant from
the U.S. Department of Labor will fund development and implementation
of educational programs in Peru to help combat the worst forms of
child labor. The grantee, World Learning, will work to improve access
to basic quality education for children working or at-risk of
working. The project is part of the department's Child Labor
Education Initiative.
