EPA: Some Michigan Drinking Water Systems May Be Allowed To Use Alternative Methods To Reduce Lead And Copper

CHICAGO, Aug. 8 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Some Michigan drinking water
systems may be allowed to use alternative methods to reduce lead and
copper under a proposal by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
Region 5. EPA is seeking comments on its proposal to issue a
variance from federal lead and copper regulations for drinking water
to non-transient, non-community water systems such as schools or
daycare centers that supply their own drinking water.
