Labor Grant To Aid Dislocated New Hampshire Workers; Chao Announces National Emergency Grant To Supplement Re-employment Programs

WASHINGTON, May 22 /U.S. Newswire/ -- U.S. Secretary of Labor
Elaine L. Chao announced a National Emergency Grant of over $500,000
that will aid 250 New Hampshire workers dislocated from subsidiaries
of Tyco International Limited located in Newington and Exeter.
National Emergency Grants are part of the secretary's discretionary
fund. A grant is awarded after a state submits a request and the
grant guidelines have been met.
