National Association of Realtors(r): 'Community Choice In Real Estate Act Should Be Passed This Year' Says Sen. Clinton

WASHINGTON, May 16 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton
(D-N.Y.), told Realtors(r) gathered for the National Association of
Realtors(r) Midyear Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo here that the
Community Choice in Real Estate Act, S.1839, which would prevent
federally chartered banks from entering real estate brokerage and
property management, should be passed this year.
Clinton, one of two prime sponsors of the legislation in the
Senate, said that allowing banks into real estate is just not fair
considering the serious competitive advantage that they enjoy due to
