Religious Leaders Call for Non-military Actions to Secure a Peaceful End to Terrorism; Telephone Press Conference Jan. 23

Four nationally known religious leaders will hold a news
conference by telephone on Wednesday, January 23, to call for a
change in the way that the war on terrorism is being prosecuted. In
particular, they will advocate for an approach that is better equated
to criminal justice than to military means. They also call upon the
United States and allies to work towards long-term political and
economic development in Central Asia and the Middle East.
