Building on Family Strengths and Developing Community Capacity in
Child Welfare is the focus of a two-day conference scheduled for
March 4-5 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, DC.
Sponsored by the Black Administrators in Child Welfare (BACW), the
conference is expected to attract 500 child welfare professionals
from across the country.
African American children are over-represented in the nation's
child welfare system making up 39 percent of the 581,000 children
