America's Blood Centers, The American Association Of Blood Banks Kick Off National Volunteer Blood Donor Month

WASHINGTON, Jan. 8 /U.S. Newswire/ -- America's Blood Centers and
the American Association of Blood Banks today announce the kick-off
of the 2002 National Volunteer Blood Donor Month. The theme for the
campaign is "Give Blood...The Gift of Life," which highlights the
importance of giving the gift of life through the donation of blood.
It honors past and present donors and encourages new ones.
The campaign kicks off today with a press conference in
Washington, D.C., and will continue throughout the month on the
national and local level. Nationally, several PSAs will show
