Where is this terrible place Eugene Meyer writes about {"Germantown: Zip Code Seeking Identity," front page, March 17}? It certainly doesn't sound like the Germantown where I live and work.

The article contains many misleading statements and inaccuracies. For example:

"There is no self-government. . . . " Of course there isn't. Germantown is unincorporated and, as such, is not entitled to self-government.

"At the bustling center of town-the intersection of Rte. 188 and Clopper Road. . . . " The center of town is at the intersection of Rte. 118 and Middlebrook Road. We do have street ...
