Venture fully focused on North Sea expansion after GBP 200m boost
|
VENTURE Production has announced that it has received a funding
injection worth around GBP 200 million as it attempts to grab a major
share of North Sea asset consolidation.
Private equity groups 3i and ArcLight Capital have announced
investments in shares and bonds in the Aberdeen oil and gas company,
to allow it to take part in a major round of sales in the North Sea
expected in the next few years.
Declining production in the North Sea is expected to lead to many
of the major international operators scaling back operations. Shell
and ExxonMobil put fields up for sale last month. Around 30 ...
