Strathclyde University in GBP 5m spin-out deal

STRATHCLYDE University has secured one of its biggest-ever spin-
out investment deals.
The Glasgow-based institution will collaborate with the FTSE-250
firm Renishaw to form a business that aims to revolutionise the
detection of diseases.
Renishaw said it was committed to investing some GBP 5 million in
the new company, D3 Technologies, over the next five years. It will
take a 75 per cent stake in the spin-out.
