Charolais cattle drive on agenda at Scottish conference

Charolais cattle were first imported into the UK from France in the mid-1960s

THE British Charolais Cattle Society is set to host upwards of 30 delegates from 11 of the world's leading beef-producing countries at a highly significant conference in Scotland this month.

The week-long event will focus on promoting Charolais cattle, which were first imported into the UK in the mid-1960s. The chairman will be Murray Lyle of Mid Cambushinnie, near Dunblane.
