Archangel ploughs in additional GBP 5.2m on strong growth figures

ARCHANGEL, the private Scottish business angel investment syndicate, has said strong growth and a maturing portfolio were behind its decision to invest GBP 5.2million in 12 companies last year.

According to its annual report, the network raised a total of GBP 7.2m. Around GBP 4.56m of this investment was channelled into developing Archangels' existing portfolio of companies - up approximately 14 per cent from last year's GBP 4m - while GBP 635,000 was put into three new investments.
