It's Show and Touch Time For Art at Torpedo Factory

The Friends of the Torpedo Factory believe that art is sometimes meant to be touched as well as seen.

A visitor is not going to see signs reading "please don't touch" at the fourth annual "Art to See, Touch and Hear" exhibit that opened yesterday and runs through April 5 at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria.

"Art to See, Touch and Hear" began in 1983 by the Friends of the Torpedo Factory to make art more accessible to people with visual disabilities. Since then, it has become an exhibit for people with other disabilities or special needs and also for anyone who likes to explore ...
