WINNING titles does not come naturally to Scottish professionals,
so it perhaps came as little surprise to hear former Glasgow and
Scotland flanker Cammy Mather laugh at the suggestion that this
victory had put his side on the road to the Premier Division 1
championship.
Mather strived for success with Edinburgh in the early years of
professionalism before heading south to Leeds, where, despite
surprising the Premiership with a stirring rise among the elite, his
years were spent more fighting relegation. Back to Glasgow he came
