The Washington-Baltimore region, aided by heavy concentrations of
federal agencies and research and development centers, ranks as one
of the leading U.S. markets for computer services, according to a
regional economic development organization.
Only the New York-Northern New Jersey metropolitan area generates
higher sales volume in the computer-services industry, according to
the Washington-Baltimore Regional Association.
