ST ANDREWS

IF YOU'RE looking for Prince William, you're too late. But that doesn't mean there is no reason to attend St Andrews. It is, after all, the oldest university in Scotland (founded 1413) so it must be doing something right. Perhaps it's the seaside, the consistently celebrated academic record, or just the many traditions which require you to dress up in silly clothing. Students should be made aware of Raisin Weekend in November and The May Dip, just two of the university's intensely popular, but rather bizarre, annual events.
