At 7,000 feet, Santa Fe, the historic old capital of New Mexico,
can take your breath away-as much for the altitude that gets you
puffing up the hills as for the city's spectacular setting at the
foot of the red-tinted Sangre de Cristo Mountains. It is a realm of

Founded in 1610 by Spanish colonists, Santa Fe has managed to
preserve much of its Spanish and Pueblo Indian flavor. The heart of
