Wood Mackenzie looking to buy in North America

WOOD Mackenzie, the Edinburgh-based research and consultancy
group, has been scouting North America for acquisitions ahead of a
possible flotation next spring.
The company - which employs 240 staff in the capital - is hoping
to build on a year in which turnover grew by nearly a third to GBP
49.3 million. Acquisitions are a near-term priority, as the group
looks to expand both east and west.
Chief executive Paul Gregory said: "Historically, we are not as
well represented in North America as we should be. Revenues in the
