Happy Wanderers: Arosa's Wanderwegs & Other Swiss Wonders

It wasn't just the mountains, the meadows and the enveloping tranquility that drew us back to the Swiss village of Arosa after a 20-year absence. It was also the music. For years we had been trying to master the lilting sound of "Gruetzi!"-the Schwitzer-Dutsch hello that's offered on street and hiking trail alike.

So, after many years, my wife and I decided to reacquaint ourselves with Arosa and its paths, or wanderwegs: There we would take one last summer vacation with our three daughters before they went off to marriage, medical school and college.
