Expro hiring amid exploration surge

OIL services firm Expro International is to create up to 50 jobs
in Aberdeen by the end of the year, on the back of rising oil prices
and a surge in demand from North Sea oil and gas companies.
Speaking to The Scotsman yesterday, finance director Michael
Speakman said the creation of jobs - predominantly as sub-sea
engineers - reflected a new approach to oil exploration following the
surge in prices per barrel.
"Because of the dollars 50 barrel, it's becoming increasingly
worthwhile for companies to look at more mature fields in the North
