NOT quite the Tower of Babel, but there was a lot of babble at the
Playfair Library as it hosted the Consular Corps in Edinburgh and
Leith's 62nd annual bash.
The Consul General, Ian Corbett, even welcomed guests with a spot
of Parliamo Filipino. Only to be expected, of course, from Manila's
man in Auld Reekie and Dean of the Corps.
Twenty-five nations hosted tables and guests included the
Presiding Officer, George Reid, and the lord provosts of Edinburgh
and Glasgow respective...
