Lost Nelson letters found in the back of an Edinburgh wardrobe

A SERIES of letters written and received by Viscount Horatio
Nelson, estimated to be worth more than GBP 25,000, have been
discovered at the back of a wardrobe in an Edinburgh town house.
The previously lost letters, which will now be auctioned or sold
to a British institution, chart different aspects of Nelson's career
from his introduction to serve on HMS Seahorse at the age of 14 to
his appointment as vice-admiral ten months before the Battle of
Trafalgar, in 1805, during which he died.
