Movie-set capital has 'New York feel'
|
FILM-MAKERS working on three separate screen adaptations currently
on location in Edinburgh have praised the city's strengths as a
backdrop for period and modern dramas.
Film experts said the sheer number of projects currently under way
made the Scottish capital "feel like New York", but believed the
invasion was merely coincidental, as producers looked to take
advantage of the weather.
Films such as Shallow Grave, Trainspotting and Jude have
previously put Edinburgh on the map, but the appearance this week of
such stars as Kristin Scott Thomas, Joseph Fiennes and James Nesbitt
