Concert hall chief vows to bring top names to Scotland

A GBP 20 MILLION concert hall rising in the centre of Perth will help bring major international music acts to Scotland and make the town a significant new centre for the arts, the hall's chief executive has pledged.

The Perth Concert Hall will act as an anchor for the town's regeneration and promises a huge boost for the annual Perth Festival of the Arts in May, Jane Spiers said.

Funded by a mix of public and private cash, the venue is scheduled to open next autumn.
