Setanta confident on SPL cash
|
SETANTA, the Irish media group which is set to clinch exclusive
rights to broadcast live Scottish football, has insisted that it
won't have any problems in funding its multi-million-pound proposals.
The SPL has named Setanta as its preferred bidder for the TV deal,
part of a media package estimated to be worth at least GBP 50 million
to the league's 12 member clubs over the next four years.
The last filed accounts for Setanta's main UK business reveal that
it posted turnover of little more than GBP 2m in 2002. Abridged
