Pars players want guarantees in return for wage cuts

DUNFERMLINE players yesterday came out fighting when they informed the latest Scottish football club to be placed under threat that any proposed wage cut would only be accepted if a guarantee ruling out administration was also included.

The squad, preparing for a home match against Celtic tomorrow night, were informed on Sunday after training that something drastic would need to be done to help Dunfermline avoid the fate of Motherwell, Dundee and Livingston, the trio of SPL clubs currently in administration.
