Trying to Get His Groove Back; Guillen Is Off to a Slow Start, But He Could Be Warming Up

It was one year and two days ago when Jose Guillen was the
recipient of so much good will in the Washington Nationals'
clubhouse. On a sunny Saturday afternoon in San Francisco, Guillen,
who had been hit by a pitch and removed from a game the night before,
rose from the bench to ignite a rally with a bases-loaded single as a
pinch hitter, then set up the tying run by grounding to the right
side of the infield, advancing a runner to third in the ninth. The
