BP under fire as 300 jobs cut at Grangemouth

BP WAS accused of reneging on its promises yesterday after it announced plans to cut 300 jobs at its Grangemouth refinary.

Trade unions vented their anger after the oil giant said it is reviewing the workforce at Europe's largest petrochemical plant. The company has yet to make a formal announcement to employees, but a BP spokesman confirmed that jobs will be "phased out" during the next 12 months.
