Anchor Mill sets Paisley on road to rebirth

ON the surface, it is a new GBP 12 million development of flats and offices. To the people of Paisley, it is much, much more.

If it was Glasgow's west-end or Merchant City, the flats would be north of GBP 500,000 each. But these 60 apartments, including duplexes and triplexes, on top of the impressive but derelict Anchor Mill, a building of huge historical and social significance, will cost up to GBP 300,000 - inexpensive in the city, but the most expensive, and prestigious in Paisley.
