Scots shop workers get equal Sunday refusal rights

LEGISLATION giving Scottish shop workers the same Sunday working rights as those south of the Border cleared its final hurdle in the Commons yesterday.

The private member's bill, introduced by David Cairns, the Labour MP for Greenock and Inverclyde, received cross-party backing and will now proceed to the House of Lords, where it is expected to be passed unopposed.
