Cherie Booth leads Gurkhas' human rights claim on army pay

FORMER Gurkhas from Nepal who served with the British Army have
accused the Ministry of Defence of "irrational and discriminatory"
treatment over their pay and conditions.
Cherie Booth QC, the wife of the Prime Minister, Tony Blair, led
the courtroom campaign, saying there was a continuing breach of their
rights under the European Convention on Human Rights.
Launching seven test cases at the High Court in London yesterday,
