Kookaburra III Wins Again;Leads Australia IV by 3-0 in America's Cup Defender Finals

Iain Murray's Kookaburra III continued its domination of
Australia IV in defender trials today with a 2-minute 6-second
victory in heavy winds.
The win gave Kookaburra III a commanding 3-0 lead in the
best-of-nine final series to pick a defender.
The loss in the kind of weather in which Australia IV has
prospered all season gave weight to the theory that something was
done to its hull or keel during the recent break between trials that
slowed it down.
"You have to figure Australia IV is going slower," said John
Marshall, design chief for Stars & Stripes, the top challenger
