Jockey Club seals Altay 'double' at Lingfield

SCOTTISH-owned horse Altay ensured his place in racing history yesterday when he "won" two races on the same day - one on the racecourse and the other at the London headquarters of the Jockey Club.

The six-year-old, who races in the colours of joint-owner John Potter, was the subject of an outcry at Lingfield last week when he was disqualified and placed last by stewards after coming home four lengths clear in the Bet Direct Live Football Cashbacks Handicap.
