Scots fund managers rate highly in new list

SCOTTISH fund managers have snapped eight out of 38 top rankings in a new ratings list for the industry.

Of 837 fund managers who run retail unit trusts in the UK, only 152 made it on to a list of best performers compiled by CityWire, a Reuters-backed financial publisher.

But of that total, 33, or 22 per cent, had Scottish affiliations (Scottish born, working or educated). And of the list's top performing 38 fund managers, eight were Scottish affiliated.
