Eddie Izzard contributes a hazy page of introduction to this new collection, musing in the kind of approving fog which Spike Milligan seemed to induce in everyone who liked him. And I must apologise if a vaguely approving fog is the best critical analysis I can offer anyone who is interested in this book.
